Here is one of the Reasons Behind Unanswered Prayers
There are many different reasons why our prayers can go unanswered. Unforgiveness is one major reason but let me explain another reason when it comes to certain types of prayer requests that go unanswered. It’s because people are praying for the wrong things or they are focusing on the wrong things. Many times, the reason for unanswered prayers is not that God is ignoring you, but you are asking for a blessing without becoming the person who can carry that blessing. You see, it’s not about simply getting to a certain place in life, achieving a certain thing, or even asking for something big. It is about you becoming that person first.
What do I mean by that? Let’s just say somebody’s prayer request is to become the next 100 meter Olympic medalist in running. That person has to live now the way somebody lives who has already won the 100 meters. They have to change their lifestyle, their mindset, and their habits. They first have to become. They must change their schedule, their diet, their sleep patterns, and their daily discipline. They must train in a certain way long before the medal ever touches their hands.
This is why many prayers are not answered: people want the blessing, but they’re not willing to step into the identity that the blessing requires.
Prayers Are Not Answered? Maybe you have not done your part yet
God is always ready to pour out His blessings and answer our prayers. But the question is: Are we fulfilling our part of the covenant? Are we doing our part in life? With God, it is always about character development; about the fruit of the Spirit, humility, discipline, integrity, and faithfulness. He cannot give us what we are not ready for or what we do not have the faith for.
And how does God know you truly have faith for something? By you preparing for what you are asking Him for. Preparation is the proof that you actually believe that God will do what you have asked Him to do. When you prepare as though the answer is already on its way, you show God that you believe His promises, not just with your words, but by your actions.
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:17
Unanswered prayer often becomes answered prayer the moment you change from asking for a thing to becoming the person who actuallyhas the capacity to receive it.
